Civil-private investigation
In civil cases, our private investigators conduct investigations for private and corporate clients who anticipate legal proceedings. These include, but are not limited to, child custody disputes and asset recovery searches, as well as theft and loss preservation and all matters of civil rights claims (e.g., Title VII discrimination and sexual harassment lawsuits). Generally, the standard of proof needed in civil cases is proof by a preponderance of the evidence. Our private detectives will assist you in building your case in several ways. We can gather the records you need or interview the witnesses you would want to call for trial. Also, if you desire, we can testify on your behalf, providing the jury with needed information concerning the facts we investigated, or you may use it to impeach your opponent.
Locating lost loved ones
Were you adopted? If you were, or if you know someone who was, you know there is always that wonder if part of your life is missing. Have VIPS help you reunite with your lost loved ones. Even if the adoption was state-controlled, it’s not forever. Once that child is eighteen, he or she is an adult, and the juvenile court, Child Protective Services, and DCFS all lose jurisdiction. You can reunite without their interference. We can work with executors, administrators, trustees, fiduciaries, bank and trust officers, and their counsel to locate an heir or establish heirship to an estate.
Background Checks
A private investigator can conduct all sorts of background checks and history searches. If you want to find out if your potential mate is hiding something about their past from you, we can help. If you want to confirm the background of a potential business associate before going into business with that person(s), or if you are required to conduct thorough pre-employment checks, we can help. We verify civil and criminal records at all levels of the court system to ensure that your potential employee is not hiding anything from you. We can interview previous employers, neighbors, and friends to confirm employee statements and verify resume entries. We can also check for a driver’s license and verify someone’s education, professional licenses, and professional affiliations. We also provide “due diligence” investigations and background checks to help clients discover unscrupulous and dishonest individuals, potentially saving business professionals and individuals from unworthy and possibly dangerous associations.
Skip Tracing

When someone “skips town,” it’s often because others are looking for them. Sometimes, the individual knows a summons is on the way, or they’re a key witness in an ongoing investigation, or they may even owe too many people money. Other times, an individual may not be hiding, but they are just difficult to find because of outdated records or a lack of information. Regardless of whether someone is going off-grid intentionally or just trying to remain private, you need to be able to find them if the situation requires it — and finding these individuals is called skip tracing. We can assist you in tracking down people who are particularly hard to find, whether they’re persons-of-interest, fact witnesses, debtors, or other individuals.
